Baxter State Park

The park was established by 28 land donations in trust from park donor Percival P. Baxter between 1931 and 1962. The Northwest Film Center is also a component of the Portland Art Museum. The Museum of Art is known as the McLellan House. The museum acquired its first original piece of art, Afternoon Sky, Harney Desert, by American impressionist painter Childe Hassam, who frequented Malheur and Harney Counties in Eastern Oregon.
