TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
Crater Lake National Park
Situated in the Cascade Mountains in southwest Oregon, Crater Lake National Park is nowhere else besides its landscape. It's an ancient caldera of Mount Mazama, an extinct volcano that erupted about 7,000 years ago rather than a crater. Rim Drive, which circles the entire lake, is the most convenient route to view and explore Crater Lake. The Crater Lake Lodge and Rim Village Visitor Center are in Rim Village, where the trip starts. Rim Drive is passable by car only during the warm months (usually from mid-July to mid-October). Cross-country skiers and snowshoers use the unplowed route for winter transit. Crater Lake National Park is also home to some of Oregon’s best hiking trails.
Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area
The Columbia River flows through the Cascade Range and into the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. This breathtaking river valley marks the border between Washington and Oregon. It is located about thirty minutes' drive from Portland and is renowned for its breathtaking vistas and abundance of waterfalls.
Cannon Beach
Cannon Beach is a well-liked vacation spot because of its long sand beach and breathtaking vistas of the sharp rocks along the coast. Haystack Rock is the biggest of these sea stacks, a permanent feature of any trip to this seaside town. Cannon Beach offers fantastic views of the ocean in addition to a vibrant cultural environment with fine dining options, unique stores, and excellent lodging. Cannon Beach has earned its reputation as one of the most significant small towns on the Oregon Coast thanks to its unique blend of culture, community, and seaside access.
Washington Park, Portland
There are many lovely parks and gardens in Portland but fewer attractions than Washington Park. The magnificent Portland Japanese Garden is near the well-known International Rose Test Garden, situated inside the park grounds. Both are favored among those with green thumbs and exhibit extraordinary horticultural expertise. The Oregon Zoo, Hoyt Arboretum, World Forestry Center Discovery Museum, and the well-liked Rose Garden Children's Playground are also located in Washington Park. Even without these attractions, the park's rich natural environment and abundance of foliage are infused with the splendor of the Pacific Northwest.
