Gettysburg National Military Park
The Gettysburg Battlefield, located in the Gettysburg National Military Park, is the site of a Civil War fight that claimed 51,000 lives over three days in 1863. The park is currently adorned with hundreds of monuments and memorials. The main points of interest include Oak Ridge, the location of the Civil War's first day of fighting; Cemetery Ridge, the area of Union Lines during the last two days of fighting; and Seminary Ridge, the central Confederate position west of Gettysburg for days two and three of the conflict. One of the largest collections of Civil War uniforms, weaponry, and personal belongings in the United States is the Rosensteel collection, which is on display at the Park Museum and Visitor Center, among other exhibits.
Hershey Park
Families will love taking a trip to this well-known amusement park in Hershey, a city strongly linked to chocolate. The area's biggest draw is Hershey Park, which spans 90 acres and offers rides and entertainment for adults and children, including water shows and roller coasters. Initially constructed in 1906 as a playground for Hershey's employees, the park has grown to draw tourists worldwide. With so many activities available for all ages, Hershey Park will only get bigger. The park features all the classic family attractions, such as a train, carousel, bumper cars, and Ferris wheel, in addition to kid-friendly rides. Philadelphia Museum of Art
Situated in a municipal landmark, the Philadelphia Museum of Art is home to one of the most significant art collections in the United States. The front stairs of the museum, which were a highlight in every "Rocky" movie, offer a stunning view of City Hall's iconic tower and Benjamin Franklin Parkway below. A vast array of artwork may be found inside the museum's permanent holdings, which include a sizable collection of European paintings by artists such as Rembrandt, Cézanne, Matisse, Monet, Picasso, Renoir, Chagall, and Manet. Fallingwater
One of Frank Lloyd Wright's most well-known creations, Fallingwater is renowned for its organic architecture that blends in and stands out from the surrounding natural environment. The collections of the Kauffman family, who once occupied the house, are a significant draw in addition to the stunning architecture. Pittsburgh residents often take a day trip to Fallingwater, only 43 miles southeast of the city. Both inside and outside the property are adorned with sculptures of different sizes, ranging from famous Cubist pieces to folk art from Mexico. Among the most striking items are a sculpture of the Hindu fertility goddess Parvati from the eighth century, an Austrian-Bohemian Madonna created in 1420, and a cast iron Buddha head dating from approximately 906–1127.
